Arrive in Wuhan and transfer to the hotel located in a peaceful resort area with lake or garden views. After check-in and a short rest, attend the Opening Ceremony to officially begin the study tour. In the evening, enjoy an ice-breaking activity. Weather permitting, join an outdoor bonfire party; otherwise, take part in fun indoor group games to meet your peers and build connections.

Day 4: Yangtze Heritage Park & Creative Workshops

Begin the day with a ceremonial experience rooted in ancient Chinese traditions—participate in Touhu (pitch-pot) and archery rituals, followed by the Kaibi Ceremony, where students don Hanfu, adjust their attire with reverence, and receive a symbolic red dot of wisdom to mark the start of their scholarly journey. Then, dive into the culinary heritage of Hubei by learning to craft traditional Yangtze River pastries using time-honored techniques, and tour the Yangtze River Food Production Workshop to witness the process firsthand. In the evening, unwind with a screening of The Book of Tea from the series China in the Classics, and create your own aromatic tea sachet to carry the spirit of tea culture with you.

Day 7: Panlong City Ruins & Archaeological Learning

Visit the Panlong City National Archaeological Site Park, one of China’s earliest city ruins, dating back over 3,500 years. Explore the ancient city walls and exhibition halls to understand the origins of urban life along the Yangtze River. In the afternoon, take part in an interactive archaeology workshop, experiencing simulated excavation and artifact analysis. The evening will include a themed discussion on ancient Chinese civilization and urban planning.

Day 10: Bagong Residence & Hubei Provincial Museum

• Visit the historic Bagong Residence and surrounding international architecture, exploring Wuhan’s modern urban evolution.
• Tour Hubei Provincial Museum to admire ancient artifacts and watch the live Zenghouyi Chime Bells performance.

Day 2: Traditional Woodcraft & Cultural Workshop

Start the day with breakfast in Dongshan Town before joining a woodworking session that introduces China’s ancient mortise-and-tenon technique. Guided by a master, you’ll experience this traditional, nail-free construction method first-hand.

In the afternoon, take part in 2–3 intangible cultural heritage workshops such as sugar painting, botanical dyeing, tofu making, or bamboo weaving. After dinner, enjoy group activities like Rolling Wheels, Charades, or DIY bracelet making—fun ways to strengthen teamwork and creativity.

Day 5: Tea Culture Experience at Baiquan Manor

Travel to Baiquan Tea Manor to explore the complete tea-making process—from tea picking and roasting to tasting. Learn about the regional characteristics of Chinese tea culture and the philosophy behind tea etiquette. After a countryside-style lunch, enjoy a hands-on tea performance session and interact with local tea farmers. Return to the hotel in the evening for a relaxing recap and cultural sharing.

Day 8: Chu Culture Exploration at Moshan

Spend the day at East Lake Moshan Scenic Area, where you will explore the Chu Culture Exhibition Zone. Learn about the rituals, music, and clothing of the ancient Chu State through live displays and reconstructed buildings. After lunch, try traditional Chu musical instruments and participate in a short Chu-style etiquette performance. In the evening, reflect on the cultural richness of the Chu civilization through group sharing and storytelling.

Day 11: China Construction Technology Museum & Optics Valley Monorail

• Explore architectural innovation and cultural heritage at the China Construction Technology Museum; hands-on activity: build a traditional Dougong bracket.
• Ride the futuristic “Photon Monorail” – an unmanned suspended train in Optics Valley.

Day 3: Baduanjin Wellness & Rural Exploration

Begin the morning with Baduanjin, a traditional Chinese qigong practice that promotes health and relaxation. After breakfast, rotate through more cultural workshops to further explore traditional crafts.

In the afternoon, visit the Farm Tools Museum to learn about traditional agriculture, explore the Smart Fertigation Learning Center, and tour a mushroom plantation to understand modern eco-farming practices. In the evening, join a cultural session about Yangtze time-honored brands and the Four Rites of Life in Chinese tradition.

Day 6: City Highlights & Yellow Crane Tower

Start the day with a visit to Wuhan’s iconic Yellow Crane Tower, learning about its literary legacy and architectural beauty. Continue to Wuhan Yangtze River Bridge for scenic views and cultural insight. In the afternoon, explore the Hubei Provincial Museum to view ancient relics, including the famous Chime Bells. Enjoy a local-style dinner, followed by a special night walk or supper tasting at Hubu Alley, where you’ll try Wuhan street foods like hot dry noodles, rice wine, and beef noodle soup.

Day 9: Hankou Historical Streets & Night Market Experience

Travel to Hankou to visit famous historical streets such as Jianghan Road and the old foreign concession area. Explore the fusion of Eastern and Western architecture and visit unique local shops. After lunch, enjoy free time to shop for souvenirs or explore nearby museums. In the evening, head to a local night market to experience Wuhan’s vibrant street food scene, where you can try grilled skewers, cold drinks, and handmade desserts.

Day 12: Closing Ceremony & Departure

After breakfast, take part in the Closing Ceremony to celebrate the end of your 10-day cultural journey. Receive your completion certificates and share final thoughts and memories with fellow participants.
